Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces that a project to rehabilitate a bridge in Perry Township, Mercer County is beginning soon. 

On May 28th, the bridge that carries Beatty School Run (Route 4021) over Morrison Run in Perry Township will close for repairs until October 2024 when the project is expected to be complete. The repairs including removing the upper portion of the bridge and replacing the deck, beams and barriers. There will also be minor paving and guiderail upgrades. 

PennDot says the bridge was built it 1958 and is classified as in poor condition.

The project will require a detour during construction, which will be posted using Methodist Road (Route 4019), Route 358, and Fredonia Hadley Road (Route 1001). 

The contractor is Gregori Construction Inc., of Sarver, PA.

The contract cost is $560,559, which is to be paid with entirely with federal funds.
