Teen with ties to North Lima has been caught by FBI for alleged swatting incidents

NORTH LIMA, Ohio - A teenager with ties to the Mahoning Valley has been caught by the FBI in Columbus.
18-year-old Brayden Grace was wanted for his alleged involvement in a number of swatting incidents in the U.S.
Officials say Grace has ties to North Lima in Mahoning County and Columbus.
According to the FBI bulletin, Grace and other conspirators are part of an online group known as "Purgatory" that used social media platforms Instagram and Telegram to plan their alleged swatting activities.
Authorities say the incidents occurred between December 10, 2023, and January 18, 2024. The alleged swatting incidents include threats to burn down a trailer park in Alabama, a shooting and bomb threat to the Albany International Airport in New York, a shooting and bomb threat against an Ohio casino, and multiple homicide event and shooting threats against people in Eastman, Georgia.
A federal arrest warrant was issued for him on April 30 in the United States District Court in Baltimore, Maryland.
Grace faces charges of conspiracy, interstate stalking, interstate threatening communication and interstate threat involving fire or explosives.
