A Youngstown man is behind bars for reportedly assaulting a 15-year-old boy and sending him to the hospital.

19-year-old Ziere Casey was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 15 year old for selling THC cartridges to Casey's younger brother, according to a criminal complaint filed in the Struthers Municipal Court.

The incident happened on May 5, Casey pulled up to the victim's house on Saginaw Drive. 

The victim approached Casey's car when Casey, along with multiple other unnamed minors got out of the car and reportedly jumped him, according to the complaint.

After briefly escaping the attackers, the victim was pulled into Casey's car where he pulled out a gun and told him to "get out of the whip before I shoot you."

As a result of the attack, the victim  got a concussion and a partially broken nose and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Casey was eventually arrested for felonious assault and aggravated robbery, according to the Mahoning County Court, where he is currently being held.

At this time a court date for Casey has not been set.
