Canfield tops Marlington, claims district title

The Cardinals beat Marlington 6-2 in the Div. II District Final.

The Canfield softball team knocked off Marlington 6-2 in the Division II District Final.

Cardinals pitcher Malena Toth had 12 strikeouts in the win.

The Cardinals offense was led by Sydney Lutz and Faith Morrell who each had RBI doubles.

Sami Economous chimed in with an RBI single.

Canfield improves to 22-3 and advances to regionals where they will play Aurora at Nordonia on Wednesday, May 22 at 2 p.m.
