Grove City man killed after being thrown from vehicle in deadly Stoneboro crash

STONEBORO, Pa. - A Grove City man is dead after being thrown from a vehicle in a two-vehicle crash in Stoneboro last week.
According to a press release from Mercer County PSP, 44-year-old Jason Lewis was killed in a crash that occurred at the intersection of Millbrook and Sandy Lake Grove City Road on May 15.
The crash occurred just before 2:30 p.m. when the driver of a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado ran a stop sign and struck a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox with two people inside including Lewis, who was identified as the passenger.
The crash caused the vehicle to go off the roadway and into a dirt embankment where it flipped and Lewis was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Silverado sustained minor injuries and the driver of the Equinox was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Court records do not show any charges filed for the driver of the Silverado at this time.
