The Ohio Department of Transportation is holding a virtual open house to present plans for the Lanterman Road bridge over Interstate 680 in Austintown Township.

The virtual meeting will begin on June 12 and go through July 12. Officials are seeking public input regarding the removal.

As it stands, the project is currently in the environmental engineering phase which includes environmental studies and a preliminary plan development.

The bridge removal and cul-de-sac construction is scheduled to be from the Spring of 2026 to Fall of 2026.

Right-of-way acquisition is scheduled to begin this summer while the bridge will be permanently closed with no through traffic beginning Spring through the fall of 2026.

Repaving is scheduled for the Summer of 2026.
