Friday luncheon at Penguin City Brewing for Realty Building explosion victims, first responders

In the wake of the Chase Bank explosion that killed one, injured seven and displaced those living in Realty Building on May 28, Penguin City Brewing Company is asking the public to step in and help.
On Friday, the brewing company plans to host a luncheon called “Feed The City: Realty Tower Residents & First Responders," the goal of which is to feed those impacted by the explosion and those that rose to the occasion of helping them.
This is where the public comes in - the company hopes to fund this luncheon through a GoFundMe effort to raise $5,000.
"This is our tangible expression of gratitude, and a way to recognize the humanity of all impacted, their need for support and the unwavering commitment to public safety and well-being that was displayed by so many," the company said in a post on its Facebook page.
The money raised will help cover grab and go lunches, drinks, paper products and anything associated with the event. Anything extra will be donated to efforts supporting Chase Bank's employees, Realty Tower residents or other area non-profits, according to the Facebook post.
Food will be provided between noon and 3 p.m. at the Penguin City Brewing Co. taproom for those displaced, Chase Bank employees, first responders and city officials.
"Our hope is that we can raise morale and show all of the people who make up the City of Youngstown how much they are valued by feeding them for one moment," the post adds.
