Family pet perishes in Lowellville house fire
The fire started in the back of the house and got so large and hot that it melted the siding.

A family dog died Sunday in a two-alarm house fire in Lowellville.
Crews from neighboring communities got the call around 2:20 p.m. requesting mutual aid for an occupied house fire.
The fire started in the back of the house and got so large and hot that it melted the siding.
No injuries are being reported, however, according to the family impacted by the fire - a dog has been killed in the blaze.
At this time it's unclear how the fire started.
