YOUNGSTOWN - Now that early voting has closed, voters in Ohio’s 6th congressional district still have a chance to cast a ballot during Tuesday’s special election to decide who will fill former Congressman Bill Johnson’s unexpired term.

Johnson resigned to become the President of Youngstown State University.

Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. on June 11 in Mahoning, Columbiana, Belmont, Carroll, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, Noble, Stark, Tuscarawas, and Washington Counties.

Democratic Congressional candidate Michael Kripchak is facing off against Republican opponent and current Ohio State Senator Mike Rulli.

No matter who wins the current election, the candidates will face each other again during the November election for a full term in Congress.
