Section of I-376 in Shenango Township to close for replacement of bridge struck by truck

A section of I-376 in Shenango Township are scheduled to close for a few days as part of a project to replace a bridge that was struck by a truck.
I-376 will be closed near the Route 318 bridge beginning Thursday, June 13 at 7:00 p.m. and will remain closed until Monday, June 17 at 5:00 a.m. in order to set the new bridge beams in place over the highway.
During the closure, detours will be set up using the on and off ramps on both sides of the bridge at Exit 1C. Drivers should prepare for traffic delays and stay alert for stopped traffic at the exits.
Flaggers will be near the bridge to assist with minimizing delays and stopping traffic as needed.
Following this construction, work will begin on the roadway near the bridge and eastbound ramps. Beginning Thursday, June 20, the on and off ramps at Exit 1C will be closed. This closure is expected to last until mid-September.
The detour will utilize Route 18 and Route 760.
This work is necessary after a semi truck crashed into the bridge back in December of 2023.
The bridge was demolished shortly afterward. Emergency reconstruction began in April of 2024 and is expected to be done by November of 2024.
