Bazetta Township to receive $300K to renovate Imagination Station

BAZETTA TWP., Ohio - Bazetta Township Trustees announced that they have been approved to receive $300,000 in funding for Bazetta Township Park's Imagination Station ADA Compliant Playground Replacement from the State of Ohio Capital Budget.
"These dollars will make such a difference for area residents," said State Senator Sandra O'Brien (R-Ashtabula), who serves Ohio's 32nd Senate District which includes Trumbull County. "I am thrilled we are investing in local communities, arts and cultural centers, mental health resources, and recreation activities. These projects will make our region better and serve citizens well for generations to come."
This is the first time that Bazetta has applied for and received funding from the Capital Budget.
The funds will be used toward upgrading and replacing the playground equipment at Imagination Station, which was built in 1995. These upgrades will bring the playground up to current ADA guidelines.
The exact scope of the project includes a proposal for the demolition and reconstruction of Imagination Station Playground, demolition of the non-ADA compliant restroom facility and the same with baseball field fencing and dugouts.
Bazetta Township is in the process of creating a financial plan of over a half million dollars for additional renovations, which they will provide updates on at a later time.
