A few dozen homes in Hubbard are still without power Tuesday night as Tuesday's storms left their wrath on the city.

Hubbard dealt with significant flooding as homeowners continued cleaning up their properties from Monday's storm.

The heavily traveled U.S. 62 off of I-80 was flooded in front of Love's Travel Stop. Emergency crews, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol directed cautious travelers as they around the flood waters.

While no injuries were reported from Tuesday's storm, streets, including Myron, Grace, and Saul, were filled with flooded roads and yards.

It's a scene one homeowner on East Park Avenue sees much too often.

"The whole yard was a river," said Zack Loveless of E. Park Ave. "It was waist-deep water. There was just too much rain, and nobody cleaned the ditch out."

Loveless now must run an excavator to dig his ditch out. "Everybody upstream uses the ditch as a dumping ground for brush, and it all washes down into our culverts," Loveless added. "I've had this issue since 2003."

The power outage also affected a handful of traffic lights at intersections around Hubbard. Drivers are required to follow a 4-way stop system, but 21 News observed dozens of cars plowing through the intersections, risking potential accidents around town.

Most of the flooding has subsided Tuesday evening but FirstEnergy is expected to restore power to all residents by Wednesday morning.

Visit FirstEnergy's website for estimated restoration times if you or someone you know is still in the dark this evening.
