Mercer County, Pa. - Drivers should be alert for daylight and nighttime lane restrictions on Interstate 80 eastbound in Mercer County next week, as crews complete repairs to the highway from the Ohio state border to mile marker 12.

According to a PennDOT press release, construction on I-80 will occur between Monday, June 24 and Friday, June 28 and will include pavement patching to repair deteriorated sections of the interstate.

Drivers should expect delays and slow-moving traffic, especially during typical commute hours in the mornings and evenings. Construction may also involve some nighttime work. 

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers.
