Warren man whose 7-year-old son ate marijuana edible convicted of reduced charge
A Warren man who had been charged with child endangering after police say his 7-year-old son overdosed on marijuana edibles has been convicted of a less serious charge.
Warren Municipal Court Judge Patricia Knepp found 42-year-old Brandon Corbisello “guilty” of disorderly conduct after he pleaded “no contest” to the charge on Monday.
The investigation leading to the charge began on January 4 after Warren police were called to St. Joseph Hospital to investigate the suspected overdose
Corbisello told officers that his son became ill after eating marijuana edibles at the home of a relative
After inducing the boy to vomit, the father took his son to a hospital.
Warren Police told 21 News that the incident did not occur at the relative's home but took place at Corbisello’s house. A detective says Corbisello tried to pin the act on a relative who had nothing to do with the incident.
The court has ordered Corbisello to take part in a parenting intervention program.
