Seismic testing will look for movement within Realty Building

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Cincinnati company that said it can stabilize downtown Youngstown's Realty Tower is making the trip to the city in hopes of inspecting the blast-damaged site.
Structural Systems Repair Group is expected to be in town Thursday according to 1st Ward Councilman Julius Oliver.
Oliver says SSRG will need permission from building owner Brian Angelilli to go onto the property.
SSRG plans to put seismic instruments inside to see if any movement is happening within the structure.
The firm sent drones into the building last Thursday and believe they could stabilize it fairly quickly.
Meanwhile, the City of Youngstown held a news conference Tuesday afternoon where Mayor Tito Brown gave the building owners until July 5 to begin demolition or face a potential legal battle.
