The Canfield softball team was honored by the Cafaro Foundation and Eastwood Mall for winning the Division II State Championship earlier this month.

The Foundation recognized the Cardinals and the coaching staff and presented the school district with a $10,000 donation.

"We appreciate being out here and being recognized by the Cafaro Foundation. They set the bar high with championship caliber and this is like icing on the championship cake."

Canfield defeated Bryan 4-0 in the title game and finished the season 27-3.
