Youngstown Police are questioning suspects captured after an early morning pursuit and manhunt that ended in Hubbard.

Police say an officer gave chase from Wick and Saranac Avenues after spotting a car possibly involved in a recent shooting in the city.

The pursuit went into Hubbard, where the car crashed near St. Patrick’s Church at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

That’s when those in the car jumped out and ran.

Police officers from surrounding departments and a K9 tracking dog searched the area, leading to several arrests on East Park Avenue, east of the church.

The suspects were taken to YPD headquarters for questioning.

21 News is working to learn if those arrested will face charges and if they are linked to a previous shooting.
