Ohio issues advisory on Diamond Shruumz products after one possible death related to product, multiple illnesses
The Ohio Department of Agriculture is issuing a Public Health Advisory for all Diamond Shruumz brand Infused Cones, Chocolate Bars, and Gummies (Micro and Mega/Extreme-Dose) after reports of multiple illnesses and one potential death linked to the products.
Prophet Premium Blends of Santa Ana, CA, has issued a recall of all Diamond Shruumz products as of June 27; however, through recall audit checks, ODA found the recalled products are still being sold in smoke/vape shops and other retail stores throughout the state.
This recall was issued after multiple people reported becoming ill after using the products. People reported neurological symptoms, including seizures, central nervous system depression (loss of consciousness, confusion, sleepiness), agitation, abnormal heart rates, hyper/hypotension, as well as nausea, and vomiting.
Diamond Shruumz should not be available for sale.
This advisory warns retailers to remove products from their shelves and alerts consumers not to purchase or consume Diamond Shruumz brand products.
Anyone finding these products in stores is asked to report it to the Ohio Department of Agriculture's Division of Food Safety by email or by calling 614-728-6250.
