Columbiana American Legion hosting Veterans, Community Appreciation Festival

Folks looking to spend an afternoon celebrating veterans will soon get the opportunity to do so.
The American Legion - Benjamin Firestone Post #290 will be hosting their third veterans and community appreciation festival.
- Time: 2p.m.-5p.m.
- When: Saturday, July 27th
- Where: Columbiana American Legion - 44403 State Route 14
There will be multiple activities, including free bingo, live music, vendors and basket raffles.
The money collected from the basket raffles will be going to a good cause.
It will be split and presented to two nonprofit organizations, Meals on Wheels and Freedom Warriors Foundation.
Additionally there will guest speaker, Monica Blasdel, state rep. for House District 79.
One of the legion groups will also be presenting a check to the Columbiana Historical Society, and it will go towards the Fix The Sticks project they are working on.
Fix the Sticks is a restoration project of a historical stick style chapel that sits on the grounds of the Columbiana Cemetery. The project is to bring new life to the chapel as it still stands from 1890.
