It’s never too early for some to run out to a convenience store… even for shoppers with four legs.
The clerk at the Flying J truck stop store in Hubbard was working at 5:30 a.m. Monday when a dog slipped in after someone opened the door.
After the stray, described as “very friendly”, began wandering through the aisles, the clerk called 9-1-1 dispatch for someone to help find the dog’s owner.
A Hubbard Township Police Officer came to the store and kept the dog company until the Dog Warden could get there.
The officer said that Flying J-Dog knows basic commands and loves to play tug of war.
