Mahoning Valley - The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown has announced Masses at five county fairs taking place over the next handful of weeks.

The Diocesan Office of Rural Life and Ministry will hold Mass at Mahoning, Columbiana, Ashtabula, Portage and Start county fairs between August and early September.

Bishop David Bonnar will preside over Mass at the Columbiana County Fair in Lisbon at 8 a.m. Sunday, August 4. The service will be held inside the Arts and Crafts building near Gate A.

Mass will be held at the Ashtabula Fair on August 11 at 7:30 a.m. for those attending. Another service will be held at the Randolph Fair in Portage County at 9 a.m. on August 25.

The Stark County Fair Mass will be held on September 1. The time and location of the service hasn't been revealed yet.

The Canfield Fair will have Catholic Mass on September 1 as well at 8 a.m. at the Concourse Stage near the Grandstand.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the Masses.
