YOUNGSTOWN - The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica Italian Festival returns to Youngstown for four days beginning Thursday.

In addition to food, fun, and craft vendors some of the Valley’s favorite bands will entertain at 343 Via Mt. Carmel.

There’ll be food for every palate including cavatelli, sausage sandwiches, greens, fried bologna, burgers, wings, ribs and chicken, kettle corn, cookies, ice cream, and pastries.

The festival runs from 5 pm to 11 pm Thursday through Saturday, and from noon to 10 pm Sunday.

For the children, there's an expanded Kid's Area that has bounce-arounds, rides, and games.

For the adults, there are nightly raffles and a $5,000 grand raffle.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, followed by a procession.

After the procession, YSU scholarships and Man and Woman of the Year will be awarded.

A free shuttle service will take festival goers to and from free parking locations at two lots at Mt. Carmel, as well as lots at the Choffin Career Center, the United Way, Levinson Tire Co., YMCA Lot, and the IBM/Commerce Building Lot. All lots are marked and secure.
