Youngstown man killed as car flips, strikes tree in Trumbull County
The crash happened on State Route 305 in Hartford Township when 62-year-old William Pickett failed to negotiate a curve to the left and went off the road striking a ditch.

A Youngstown man is dead after a car flipped on its roof and crashed into a tree in Trumbull County late Tuesday morning.
According to a press release, the crash happened on State Route 305 in Hartford Township when 62-year-old William Pickett failed to negotiate a curve to the left and went off the road striking a ditch.
Troopers say the car then flipped onto its roof and struck a tree. Pickett was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say Pickett was not wearing his seat belt and believe speed to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
