DALLAS - Italian restaurant chain Buca di Beppo has filed for bankruptcy, closing 18 locations around the country.

In a Chapter 11 filing, the family-style Italian dining brand said the goal of the bankruptcy was to position the company for future success.

The closings, 12 of which were announced last month, were at “underperforming” restaurants according to the company.

According to the company website, restaurants in Cleveland and Columbus are among the 44 locations remaining open.
