Matthew Gibson, who participated in these classes in the past, is quoted in a press release describing how the classes helped him in the process of purchasing a home.

"One of the biggest challenges about buying a home is the amount of information you must learn, retain and constantly be aware of. Thankfully through the homebuyer's class, I was able to gain a large portion of that information. Even the things I did not understand immediately, I was at least afforded access to them so that I could pull them from the reservoir that was my notes from the class," Gibson said.

According to the release, the classes are targeted towards Asset Limited Constrained Employed (ALICE) families. These families make up 44% of Lawrence County's population.
