Family lemonade stand raises $3K for Salvation Army of Mahoning County

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A check was presented to the Salvation Army to help with its Back to School Program Thursday afternoon.
The money was raised through a lemonade stand that the Giannios Family put on to raise funds for kids to get school supplies.
This year, they raised more than $3,000 for the program.
Gabriella Giannios says she loves helping those in need.
"I love giving people stuff and being kind," Giannos said.
The Salvation Army is appreciative of the family's hard work.
"It's amazing how it's grown and this year it's over $3,200," Paul Moore, area coordinator for the Salvation Army of Mahoning County, said. "It's going to help a lot of kids in this area get back to school supplies."
The money will also help kids who are part of the Salvation Army's summer camp.
This was the third year that the Giannios family held the lemonade stand.
