Baby formula sold at CVS recalled due to elevated Vitamin D levels

Pennsylvania - High levels of Vitamin D in infant formula prompted a voluntary recall from the Perrigo Company.
About 16,500 cans of formula were distributed to CVS stores across the U.S., including in Pennsylvania. The affected product is store brand Premium Infant Formula with Iron Milk-Based Powder.
The affected products were shipped to CVS beginning in February of 2024, and have a use by date of November 11, 2025.
According to the FDA, short-term consumption of this formula is unlikely to cause harm to the vast majority of infants. For infants with impaired kidney function, consumption of the product could result in health complications.
To date, there have been no adverse effects reported as a result of the elevated Vitamin D levels.
