CAMPBELL, Ohio - A Campbell man is behind bars after allegedly inappropriately touching a child and showing her pornography.

According to a police report, police first learned of this alleged conduct back in July of 2023 when the victim and her mother showed up at the Campbell Police Department to file a report.

The victim's mother told police the alleged conduct happened five years prior when the child was playing hide and seek with the suspect, identified as 49-year-old Thomas Steele.

Police say Steele inappropriately touched the victim's buttocks and genitalia on two separate occasions. 

Additionally, police say there was another occasion when Steele was watching pornography on his computer and allegedly showed the victim what he was watching.

According to court records, Steele is charged with gross sexual imposition and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. He was arraigned on these charges Tuesday morning.
