One more dry day before unsettled weather arrives on Friday

Thursday will be a day of transition for us in the valley. It will be a mostly sunny start to the morning before a veil of high clouds arrives around midday. High temperatures will reach the mid-80s under filtered sunshine this afternoon.
Skies will turn mostly cloudy overnight as an area of low pressure continues to approach from the west. A shower or two cannot be ruled out early on Friday, but rain chances will be highest in the afternoon and evening. Friday afternoon will also see the return of much more humid air.
Muggy and unsettled weather will stick around for the weekend. Rain chances will be highest during the second half of both Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures will reach the low 80s on Saturday, with a slightly cooler day expected on Sunday.
A few showers could linger into Monday morning before skies clear out Monday night. Quieter and brighter days are expected next Tuesday and Wednesday, with high temperatures in the upper 70s.
