Healthy Hearts and Paws rescues dog with open neck wound from home in Warren
It was rescued Wednesday night from a home on Woodbine in Warren.

WARREN, Ohio - A dog with an open neck wound has been rescued by the Healthy Hearts and Paws (HHP) and is now being treated for its injuries.
It was rescued Wednesday night from a home on Woodbine in Warren.
Video footage posted on HHP President Jason Cooke's Facebook page shows the dog tethered to something, with the rope digging into its neck - creating the wound.
Cooke says the dog was in visible pain from the tether, which created "seeping, painful open sores" and extreme inflammation due to infection.
The dog was taken from the residence and placed at HHP's new shelter in Warren.
"We are now completely overwhelmed with dogs and need the publics help," Cooke said.
