Organizers of Rockin' on the River in Sharon have announced they have rescheduled the popular event over weather concerns.

An alert sent earlier today cites the threat of rain and storms as the reason they have moved the event, originally scheduled for August 16, to September 27.

"The safety of our audience, downtown business owners and artists is our top priority," the statement said. "Out of an abundance of caution, we feel it's best to reschedule this event."

The Labra Brothers will be back for the event next month.
