21 news reported last week that the DoubleTree was expected to reopen Monday. Steve Mitchell, General Manager for DoubleTree by Hilton Youngstown Downtown, said although he was planning on reopening Monday, he is waiting to get approval from the City of Youngstown. Once the city gives Mitchell the approval, he plans to reopen the hotel.

Barry Finley, Youngstown Fire Chief, said the city plans to put out an announcement Monday afternoon about the Realty Building progress. Finley said he isn't able to give any additional information at this time.

As for Bistro 1907, the owner does not plan to reopen the restaurant until the end of September because of a rebranding. Details on the rebranding will be announced Monday.

21 news reached out to Mayor Tito Brown about plans to reopen downtown, and received the following statement:

"We can see the light at the end of the tunnel following the tragic events of May 28. Our community can begin the healing process to move forward together. Now is the time to think big about how we come back more resilient and more vibrant than ever before."

"In the coming weeks we'll announce more plans and events to bring people back, celebrate our city and begin the hard work of planning for our successful future."
