Police in Warren are investigating after a crash left one person on a motorized scooter seriously injured Tuesday evening.

According to a press release from Warren PD, the crash happened just after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Genesee Avenue NE and Beechwood Street NE.

Police say the operator of the motorized scooter lost control of it and crashed into an SUV in the opposite lane.

Police say the scooter operator sustained serious injuries from the crash.
