CANFIELD, Ohio - As the Canfield Fair is near, the Canfield Board welcomed a new fair manager.

Skye Tancer is taking over as fair manager following the upcoming retirement of long-time fair manager Bev Fisher.

"On behalf of the Board I thank retiring Fair Manager, Bev Fisher for her outstanding years of service," said Dave Mannion, Canfield Fair Board President.

Tancer served in various roles within the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Senior Master before retiring from the military. 

Most recently, Tancer was a development officer for the Youngstown State University Foundation.

She holds a Bachelor's degree from YSU along with multiple associate degrees from Air Force Community College. 

Tancer is a member of the Junior League of Mahoning Valley and also sits on the board of the Rich Center for Autism. 

"Skye is the perfect successor to Bev, and I am excited to see how she will utilize her skills...to move the Fair and Fairgrounds forward for the betterment of the Mahoning Valley, " said Mannion 

The Canfield Fair is the largest county fair in Ohio.

The 178th Fair will start on Wednesday, August 28th, and conclude on Labor Day.
