One person is in critical condition after being shot on Youngstown's north side Monday afternoon.

Police on scene told 21 News the victim was shot on the 100 Block of Tod Lane around noon. Witnesses told police the victim ran into a house, but police did not find anybody in the home when they searched inside it.

Police say that victim is now in the hospital in critical condition, but officers don't know exactly how they got there.

At this time, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.
