WARREN, Ohio - Warren City Hospital Inc. is scheduled to present their plans to rescue Trumbull Regional Hospital-- to a bankruptcy court Wednesday.

Trumbull county commissioner Denny Malloy tells 21 News he was a part of a Sunday meeting that included representatives from Warren City Hospital, Inc., along with the Warren mayor's office, city and county auditors and Regional Chamber CEO Guy Coviello .

Not present was anyone from the Trumbull Memorial Health Foundation, who have previously said they would consider assisting in fundraising efforts, but would not commit to doing so.

Also not present was anyone from Lake to River or JobsOhio, who have not committed to assisting in efforts to save the hospital, but told Malloy they need to see exactly how any money would be used to make sure it fits their "mission." Healthcare is one of the ten sectors listed on JobsOhio's web site that the organization assists, at least in certain circumstances.

Malloy says nonprofits have raised questions, including: Who is going to run each branch? How long will the money last? What sector of the hospital will the money go towards? Will the money be used to cover all five of the properties?

Malloy says he has high hopes that Warren City Hospital Inc's plan will be a solid one, but a specific amount of money companies can offer will be unknown until after the hospital group shows them their plans.

The hospital group has enough money to purchase the hospital and its satellite campuses, as well as Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital. They're hoping to collect $27 million dollars to help them during the transition stage.

21 News reached out to all of the organizations Malloy mentioned, but have not heard back.
