Boardman police say AT&T service restored to 911 lines

BOARDMAN, Ohio - Boardman Township Police are reporting that their 911 phone lines are back up and running after an AT&T outage.
Dispatchers told 21 News that AT&T customers could have trouble getting calls to connect to the dispatch center.
According to the outage website downdetector.com, users were reported issues with AT&T service in Boardman beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
An AT&T spokesperson confirmed a software issue to CNN Tuesday night saying, "We are working to address a software issue that may affect the ability of a limited number of our customers to connect to our wireless network."
Other cities have reported issues including Tampa and Seminole County, Florida.
