Rally preparations to save local Steward Health Care hospitals

WARREN, Ohio - The fight to save local Steward Health Care hospitals is heating up. The hospital staff and community members are preparing for a rally to fight its potential closure.
Vanessa Satterthwaite has worked as a registered nurse at Trumbull Regional Hospital for 12 years. She says the possibility of it closing has caused some uncertainties and fear inside the hospital among staff and patients.
According to Satterthwaite the number of patients she's seeing is getting smaller.
"Some patients are diverting elsewhere. It's definitely decreased," Satterthwaite said.
Since the announcement from Steward Health Care, employees told 21 News that a few employees have quit, some want to leave, and others aren't giving up.
"There's many of us that say 'we're going to stay until they chain the doors and tell us we can't come in'." Satterthwaite said
Organizers of the Save Our Hospitals rally, hope their efforts don't go unnoticed.
They, along with the Ohio Nurses Associations, are calling on state leaders to help give the hospital another life line.
