More details released on incident involving juvenile with gun at Canfield Fair

We've learned more details on what led up to an incident at the Canfield Fair Sunday night where Mahoning County Sheriff’s Deputies say they chased a juvenile with a gun down and arrested him.
According to a report from the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office, a victim told Canfield Fair Police that he was walking to the grandstands for a concert when he heard someone wearing a ski mask call his name.
Deputies say the teen in the ski mask flashed a gun at the victim and made a comment about someone talking about his dead cousin and told him to "watch his back."
The victim told police he was friends with this person a few years ago, but they weren't friends anymore.
Police also spoke with the victim's girlfriend who gave the same story as the victim adding that she was scared because the teen had shown up to her house with a gun before and threatened to kill her and her family.
Soon after this, police were alerted to someone matching the teen's being spotted in the fair. That's when Fairground Police and Deputies with the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office found him and chased him to a spot near the grandstand where he was arrested.
According to the report, the teen did not have the gun on him when he was apprehended, but it was soon found underneath a storage truck.
The 17-year-old boy has been charged with two counts of aggravated menacing and criminal trespassing.
Mahoning County Sheriff Jerry Greene says they’ll be speaking with a prosecutor about filing a weapons violation as well.
No injuries were reported.
