Installation of the new red seats at Beeghly Center is underway.

The entire east side of the lower bowl are just about in and installation on the west side expects to start later this week.

Their are 11 seats in each row (down from 13) in the large sections.  The seats are wider, have more leg room, have a cup holder and the aisles in between the sections is wider.

Crews hope to finish the lower bowl and then start working upstairs.

With the elimination of seats & rows the capacity at Beeghly Center is expected to drop below 5-thousand.

Crews say the lower bowl will be ready for the first volleyball game, on Friday, September 20.
