A Columbiana County man has been sentenced to eight to 12 years in prison for a deadly, drunk driving traffic crash.
The sentence was handed down Tuesday in Carroll County Common Pleas court after 27-year-old Dakota Kincaide of West Township pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, and driving with a suspended license.
State troopers say Kincaid's blood alcohol level was .239 when the SUV he was driving crashed head on into a minivan in Augusta Township on March 20, 2024.
Kincaid’s SUV struck a tree and rolled over, while the minivan was forced off the road.
The driver of the minivan, 71-year-old Patrick Snow of Malvern, Ohio, was taken to a hospital where he died.
