People who were up early this morning may have thought they saw a meteor streaking across the sky around 5:30 am Tuesday.
But it wasn't a meteor or even anything from space at all. It was manmade.
What people saw was the launch of SpaceX's Polaris Dawn mission from Florida aboard a Falcon 9 rocket Tuesday morning. The rocket carried the Dragon capsule Resilience with four passengers into orbit.
The multiday trip with hopes of doing a spacewalk on the mission.
Charles Wedge and his friend were setting up for a morning goose hunt just outside Hermitage when they snapped the above image, which he said was visible for approximately 20 to 30 seconds.
