A $1.6 million project to improve pedestrian travel in Hermitage is set to begin on Sept. 16.

Additionally, work will also include sign updates and pavement markings.

That means lane restrictions are coming. Motorists will see traffic controlled by flaggers and may encounter pattern shifts - delays should be expected during work hours.

Access to all driveways may be maintained throughout the duration of the project. Temporary traffic control devices may be setup at driveways, according to PennDOT.

Work is being done by M&B Services and is expected begin near Buhl Boulevard and go through July 2025.
