A judge has sent a Youngstown man to nearly five years in prison and ordered him to register as a sex offender after being convicted following a child pornography investigation.

Twenty-four-year-old Derrick Earvin was handed a 57-month sentence on Thursday and was also declared to be a Tier Two sex offender.

Earvin was arrested by U.S. Marshals in January following his indictment by the Mahoning County Grand Jury.

In July, Earvin pleaded guilty to three counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and three counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor.
