Classes canceled for Lakeview Schools in Mercer County due to threat
Friday night's football game will still go on as scheduled with an increased police presence. Students are expected to return to class as normal on Monday.
STONEBORO, Pa. - Classes are canceled for the Lakeview Local School District in Mercer County due to a reported threat.
Lakeview Superintendent Keith Wolfe tells 21 News the school learned of the threat Thursday night regarding a student allegedly threatening to bring a weapon to school and canceled classes out of an abundance of caution.
PSP investigated the threat and determined that it was not credible.
Friday night's football game will still go on as scheduled with an increased police presence. Students are expected to return to class as normal on Monday.
No charges have been filed at this time.
