Cavaliers sign Isaac Okoro to multi year deal

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed guard/forward Isaac Okoro to a multi-year contract, Cavaliers President of Basketball Operations Koby Altman announced today from Cleveland Clinic Courts.
Okoro (6-6, 225) appeared in 69 games (42 starts) this past season and averaged 9.4 points on .490 shooting from the field, 3.0 rebounds and a career-high tying 1.9 assists in 27.3 minutes. He shot a career best 84-215 (.391) from the three-point line, marking his career-high for three pointers made in a single season. During the month of February, Okoro shot 22-49 (.449) from beyond the arc, his best three-point shooting stretch of the season. He also recorded one steal in a career-high 10-straight games from Feb. 25-March 11 and had seven straight games with at least one steal and one block from Feb. 27-March 10, the longest such streak by Cavalier since LeBron James in 2010 (eight straight games).
The Atlanta native was selected by the Cavaliers with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft after playing one season at Auburn University. In four seasons in Cleveland, Okoro has appeared in 279 games (216 starts) with career averages of 8.5 points on .467 shooting from the field, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 27.6 minutes. He has also appeared in 17 playoff games.
