November trial set for woman accused of stealing 21 guns during Springfield Township burglary

YOUNGSTOWN - A 32-year-old woman from Kent, Ohio appeared in Mahoning County Court on Tuesday to answer burglary and 18 grand theft charges involving guns.
Ciara Tillison was indicted on the theft of gun charges stemming from an incident in November of 2022.
According to court filings, Tillison allegedly opened a safe and removed 21 guns from a home in the 11000 block of Youngstown Pittsburgh Road on November 17, 2022.
The Struthers Court complaint said that in January 2024, Springfield police spoke with Tillison about the burglary and theft. The report noted that Tillison said she was given the combination to the safe by a female living with the homeowner at the time and that she and two others went home. The complaint states that Tillison said that one of the other people with her gave the weapons to a white and black male.
In May, a warrant was issued for Tollison's arrest. She appeared in court on August 12, and a surety bond was set at $20,000. Tillison was ordered to have no contact with the gun owner.
According to court records, the case is scheduled for trial on November 18.
