A Lawrence County man is facing homicide charges after allegedly fatally shooting a worker at an Ellwood City business Thursday evening.

State Police say 31-year-old Timothy Woods of Ellwood City is accused of killing 36-year-old Timothy Bollman of Fombell. The shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. inside a building at Ellwood Forge on Commercial Avenue.

According to police, Bollman, an employee of Ellwood Forge, was shot multiple times. His body was found on the floor near several 9mm shell casings.

Following the shooting, Woods fled the scene. Authorities later located him at a home on Belton Road in North Sewickley Township. A caller reported that Woods was armed and threatening self-harm.

Police surrounded the home, and Woods eventually surrendered. He was taken into custody and charged with criminal homicide, carrying a firearm without a license, and reckless endangerment.

Woods remains jailed without bond.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation

Describing the incident as "a tragedy", Ellwood Forge officials released the following statement:

ELLWOOD City Forge last night experienced an act of violence perpetrated by an intruder that resulted in the death of a team member. All other team members are safe and the facility was secured last night.
