Handel's Homemade Ice Cream, a local favorite with locations across several states, secured the number two spot in the ice cream and frozen yogurt category of Newsweek's inaugural "America's Best of the Best" rankings.

The list, compiled in partnership with Statista, recognizes brands across 156 categories based on customer experience metrics like brand image, trust, value for money, reliability, and customer service. Over 24,000 U.S. customers participated in the survey, generating over 150,000 evaluations.

Handel's reacted to the recognition with the following post on Facebook:

Braum's, another ice cream chain with a strong regional presence, took the top spot in the category with a score of 89.19. Handel's followed closely with a score of 89.04, while Cold Stone Creamery rounded out the top three with a score of 86.2.
