More info has been released on a crash that killed a Salem couple in late September.

The crash happened when a car driven by 24-year-old Kaylan Jones crossed over the center line of Georgetown Road just after 8:15 a.m. September 21 and ran into an oncoming minivan killing 87-year-old Richard Hiner and 89-year-old Joanne Hiner and injuring the driver of the minivan.

A crash report from the Perry Township Police Department states that Jones was asleep at the wheel at the time of the crash.

The report says the drivers of both vehicles sustained suspected serious injuries from the crash.  

The crash is still under investigation At this time it is unclear if any charges will be filed.
